Day in the Life of a Student
a day in the life of a student
7:45am: Hit the snooze button until 8:00 and then finally get up to face the day.
7:45am: Hit the snooze button until 8:00 and then finally get up to face the day.
8:30am: Eat a quick breakfast of Cheerios, a banana and a glass of orange
juice in the dining commons.
8:45am: Grab my bike and rush down the bike path to class.
9:00am: First class begins.
9:50am: Class ends and I have an hour break before my next one. So I grab some coffee from a
cart and sit under a tree to get my reading done.
11:00am: Second class begins.
11:50am: Whoo-hoo! Class lets out and I head to the Hub in the UCen to meet a friend for lunch.
We get some pizza, find a comfy table and finalize the details for our weekend hike.
12:50pm: As my friend heads off to class I walk over to one of my professor’s office hours to follow
up on a question I asked in class. After our discussion I squeeze in a little more reading
before my next class.
2:00pm: Third class begins.
2:50pm: Class ends and I socialize with a few friends before getting my bike and riding back
to the res. halls.
3:10pm: I meet up with some friends and we decided to go climb the rock wall at the RecCen.
4:30pm: A quick hop in the shower before a Community Affairs Board (CAB) meeting at 5pm upstairs
in the MultiCultural Center.
5:00pm: I see my roommate working at the front desk on my way out so I stop by to see how
she’s doing. After my conversation with her, I head over to the CAB meeting where
I sign up for a volunteer Beach Clean Up this weekend.
6:00pm: Stroll on over to the dining hall where I devour a meal consisting of the major “student”
food groups: burger, fries, and soda.
6:30pm: Being the studious student that I am, I break out some homework and try to hit the books,
but am distracted by my friends who are watching the newest reality TV show in the lobby.
7:30pm: I make myself some hot chocolate in my hall’s kitchenette and venture down to the hall lounge.
8:00pm: I catch the last half of the men’s basketball game in the Thunderdome. The best part is that
I got in for free with my Student Access Card.
9:00pm: I put on my pajamas, some relaxing music and finally get to that homework I was doing earlier.
I study as long as I possibly can before calling it lights out. I’ve got to be rested in order to do it
all again tomorrow.
